Kyriakos - Memory #4: Thousand Curses

The memory starts on a battle. Six teenagers and what looks like a bear mascot are fighting a large, bony creature with many arms. The creature keeps throwing spells at the teenagers, and they respond with spells from what looks like summoned creatures of their own. Lapis and Ochre are there, as well as Grey Hair, Headphones, Track Jacket and Red Sweater. Pigtails was off to the side, calling out things to the group, and the bear mascot is... fighting.

There was a pause in the battle, and almost all at once, the group looked at each other, fear showing in usually calm eyes, before the bony creature fixed her cold, dead stare on Grey Hair and started moving just a bit again.

Headphones shouted and ran over, pushing Grey Hair out of the way. But before he could do anything else, ghostly shadow hands came out of the ground, pulling him down as the rest of the group stared, aghast at what they had just witnessed.

The bony creature started the same glance again as Grey Hair stood again, and the bear mascot ran over, careening into him The Shadow hands came up again, and the colourful bear was taken as well, followed quickly by Track Jacket and Red Sweater, each pushing Grey Hair out of the way before they were pulled down.

Before the creature could do anything else, two spells and a physical attack flew at her from Lapis, Grey Hair, and Ochre, all almost at once. Reeling from the damage, she turned her attentions to Grey Hair yet again, wordlessly. This time, however, two people started towards him.

Ochre pushed Lapis to the ground before jump-kicking Grey Hair down. As the shadow hands came up to consume him, Lapis gasped, choking back a scream. Even before Grey Hair could get up, she pushed him back down, pulling herself up to her full height, and looking the bony creature in the face as the Shadow hands pulled her down. The last thing heard is Pigtails' hysterical screaming.
